A short weekend in Denmark

Leaving Friday noon, returning Sunday evening, I had a short but fun weekend in Denmark.
The main reason to go was to participate in Lunas confirmation party on Saturday (see photo of the gorgeous Luna), secondly I had chance to spend some time with my family, both at the party and afterwards on a lazy Sunday morning.

Fun fact: I found a namesake in the girl at the check-in desk at Kastrup this afternoon.

African dancing

I still do African dancing at Doornroosje once a week. It is usually on Thursdays (after climbing) but this week we had the lesson on Wednesday instead to exercise our dance to live djembe music . The music is played by the djembe class of Mariekes husband Claude Mukwaba - a great team those two.

Our dancing looks something like this - we do a number of different dances from Congo and West Africa.

Summer in Gelderland

It seemed like winter skipped spring and went straight on to summer. We have had the most lovely weather for the past two weeks. This weekend the temperature will drop again and we will get some rain on Saturday, but I bet my sister and I can find lots of things to do, even on a rainy day.

Too much dancing?

Yesterday my knees and legs felt worn and tired - maybe I was dancing too much this weekend? Or maybe it was the combination of walking round Efteling all Friday, followed by dancing till half past two in the morning, followed by an long Saturday in Amsterdam walking round town enjoying the Queensday celebrations, followed by dancing Sunday evening, followed by dancing Monday evening...
